The ring...

Finally, nagkaron na din ng linaw ang tungkol sa wedding rings namin. Yesterday we went to the shop of Mr. Talag "the ring" maker and had our fingers measured for our wedding band. Both of us will be wearing a 6.5 size of ring, it will be a simple two-tone wedding band to go with my engagement ring. Nanay was so kind to give us some gold to be used in making our bands, these gold rings were given to them when they attended a wedding of their relative in HongKong kaya though simple lang ang rings namin it would really be special. Mr. Talag, the ring maker says that our ring will be ready by the 29th of October or earlier. His daughter is getting married din kasi kaya ayaw na mangako that it could be earlier. He showed us several other wedding rings na ginagawa nya and good craftsmanship naman talaga. Our wedding ring engraving: "Dzune-Jen 11-23-2005" gusto ko sana mine would be Dzune My Love, always & forever....hmnnn...di tuloy ako nakatulog sa pag-iisip nun. Maybe I will ask My Love to go there again one of these days to make the changes....if he will have time..

We got our marriage license yesterday! Pinaulit pa kami sa pag-fill up ng form kasi we messed up the first one, daming erasure kaya the one in-charge in signing the license put a note, buti na lang we were together at least we can have it signed din agad. So now, what's next is to wait for our wedding banns so we could complete our requirements, the Sto. Niño Parish in Taguig is charging me 500 pesssoossses for the banns which I think is too much considering na wala naman silang gagastusin sa pagbasa nun and to think that I never even go to church there and most likely walang makakakilala sa pangalan ko. Hay, pero sabi ni My Love ganun daw talaga yun, bawat simbahan daw kasi na daanan me charge kaya siguro ganun kamahal. Sabi pa nya:"bayaran na lang natin." Maybe that settles that matter.

We had the last session of our pre-cana seminar last Sunday, what's good pala in Malate Church is that they include an orientation on what to do during the wedding day itself. Nakakatawa kasi we we're given this wedding kit that contains 3 versions of the misalette that can be used. Fr. Kevin, (the one who facilitated the seminar and he was also the one who interviewed us) even asked several couples (including us!) to actually demonstrate by reading the exhange of rings, scrutiny and sharing of the coins part of tha wedding mass. They encourage the couple to memorize their lines because not only that it would look good on video but you'll also get to look into the eyes of your beloved while saying your vow. They (Malate Church) also gives this option that you can face you family, loved ones, friends and guests while saying your vows. O diba, really dramatic and romantic. I just don't know if My Love will agree to this. Masyado mahiyain eh.

I am glad that we now have several more accomplishments in our "to-do" list. We also got the mock-up of our invites last Saturday and have shown it already to Miel, Ben and Pho at aliw na aliw naman sila so aside from the changes in the text, I will be giving Printed Matter the go signal so by next week I can now give out our wedding invites. Next week would be already October, how time flies. Before I know it, November is here and together with it a happy and sad occassion. Come November 2, I will be not really closing a chapter but rather, I will putting a rest to our mourning...my Papa will be gone for a year on November 2, how I miss him....
